The deal was established and implemented by the 32nd president of the United States to address the various challenges which the country faced from the Great depression and the outlays contributed by second world war. The great depression contributed to hindrance of the American economy, which accrued poor living standards to the citizens. The depression affected the global market and financial institutions leading to inflation. The Second World War attributed destruction. It involved the destruction of property in the country and increased mortality rate affecting the American population and development. The challenges endorsed Americans to lose hope in governance and that the country was not worth to reside (Giordano, Gustavo, and Giovanni 700). Consequently, some citizens fled to neighboring nations to secure a better living environment. However, Franklin Delano being an economist and politician was involved in the situation and decided to uphold the national spirit to the citizens during his presidency. He employed his new deal towards the challenges faced by Americans. The research investigates the new deal enhanced by Franklin to solve the challenges that America was facing.
Franklin D Roosevelt Background
He was born at Hudson in New York on 30 January 1882. His parents were James Roosevelt his father who practiced business and Sarah Delano. History indicates that Franklin enjoyed the privileges that the parents gave him in his childhood that made him establish a psychological strategy to approach politics. For instance, the father took him to president Grover Cleveland during his reign. Secondly, the many trips he made to European nation enhanced his relation with Germany, France, and other European nations (Hobbs 1870). He grew in a Christian school where he became very close to the head teacher who referred him as a bright, moderate, and brilliant student. He furthered his studies in Harvard College where he learned economics and installed the passion to rescuing the country’s business environment.
Franklin engaged in the political world in 1911 when he decided to vie for the New York state senate. Fortunately, he won the election and led the state for one term. He did not manage to rescue his seat for the next term where he lost it to James W. Gerard. In 1920, he was appointed as the vice presidential candidate for the Democratic National Convention party where the chance was lost to the republican candidate Warren G. Harding, who became the president. Further, research indicates that he engaged in programs that enhanced his legal profession. For instance, he sought advocate and legislative profession in the 1920’s (Giordano, Gustavo, and Giovanni 718). Fortunately, he became an ally to Alfred E.
