This is a group assignment to create a Psychology course syllabus. Please see the attached syllabus for #E which is what I am responsible to do. Thanks

Individuallv Developed Course Svllabus (25%) 

Each student will be assigned a course from the list of courses identified in the Curriculum developed by the class. Each student will then develop the syllabus for the course that is a component of the curriculum.

The syllabus must address the Program and Student Outcomes of the curriculum and will be for a 15-week semester and must include:

  1. Course overview/description: Provide a detailed description of the course overview/description, pre-requisites and semester credits (5 points)
  • Faculty Information
    • Academic Policies
  1. Course competencies/outcomes (25 points) This section must be written as follows:
  • Program Outcomes based on BSN Essentials (5 points)
    • Students must use all nine Essentials- POs must be written as approved by the class.
    • Individual Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) (5 points)
      • Individual SOs are developed for each PO and address the PO and the content of the course. (5 points)
      • Are all of the SOs at the appropriate level based on the level of the course? (5 points)
        • Students must identify which Bloom’s level the SO is, at the end of the SO (5 points)
  1. Teaching-Learning strategies/evaluation (15 points)
  • Describe the teaching Gleaming strategies that will be used in the course. These must be appropriate, innovative and meet the needs of the course.
  1. List of evaluation methods for the course are provided and calculated appropriately for the level of the course to equal 100% (10 points)

Week 1. The Psychiatric Nurse as a Leader
Overview of the Nursing Field in and Improvement through Evidence-based Practice
Require reading: Astroth, K. S., & Chung, S. Y. (2018). Focusing on the fundamentals: Reading qualitative research with a critical eye. Nephrology Nursing Journal, 45(4), 381-348.
Learning Objective: the student would learn more about the importance of evidence-based practice relative to the field of psychiatric nursing and the role of a nurse practitioner as an agent of change.
Weeks 2-3. The Psychiatric Nurse as a Leader and an Agent of Change
Roles and characteristics of a nurse as a leader in the field of community healthcare, psychological and psychiatric health provision, and practical policy-making skills.

Learning Objective: For these two weeks, the students will learn more about the nursing practice as a field dedicated to the provision of healthcare and as one where change happens. Thus, the nurse practitioner would be viewed not as a mere agent but also as a leader. This includes the necessary characteristics that nurses should have to promote change through policy-making skills.
Weeks 4-5. Bridging Leadership with Evidence-based Practice in Psychiatry
The student would learn the necessary skills on how to utilize research (evidence-based practice) for creating community-based and organizational healthcare programs that would further drive change in the process.
