Introduction and problem
Stress and other mental health issues are a growing concern at a time when there is a Covid-19 pandemic, and worsening socioeconomic problems partly explain the increased risk of stress and anxiety (Salari et al., 2020). People from socioeconomically disadvantaged groups are disproportionately affected, but they also lack access to effective interventions (Varma et al., 2021). Stress-related illnesses are a growing concern among health care practitioners, and stress affects a person's overall wellbeing and productivity. Exercises are of the interventions that are likely to be beneficial in stress management and relieving stress. Physical exercises are a cost-effective strategy that many people can utilize even in economically deprived areas. The proposal focuses on exercise a stress relief agent.
Purpose of the study
The research focuses on different factors that cause stress and different ways to heal from stress, focusing on the benefits of exercise. Most research work on physical exercises focuses on the physical benefits and health, and people are encouraged to be physically fit. However, there is growing interest and research on the impact of exercise on mental health outcomes (Bell et al., 2019).
Research questions
What is the impact of exercise on stress?
What are the causes of stress?
What are the psychological benefits of exercising?
What are the psychological, behavioral, and biological determinants of stress?
The desirable psychological changes associated with exercises may include stress reduction, anxiety reduction, and mood enhancement. Researchers have evaluated the short-term and long-term benefits of exercise and physical fitness, which provides insights into the influence of exercise on overall health.
Method design
Data and information was collected from the Grand Canyon University library search engine and Google's Google Scholar engine
Participants
This research paper did not use participants with primary and secondary data and information from peer-reviewed articles.
Materials
In this research, access to a computer and library are the main materials as journal articles were referenced.
Procedures
As were no participants in the research, there is more focus on synthesizing data and information from different sources. A review of the sources and the best evidence provides insights into exercise to reduce stress and improve outcomes.
There would be voluntary participation if there were research with participants and the participants being provided with an informed consent document. The research would identify four groups: the exercise group, a therapy group, a medicine group, and no intervention group. Then there would be a survey to evaluate the results of the stress relief strategies in the four groups and compare the outcomes.
Design
The is a descriptive study, and there were different research articles identified and focusing on the environmental, biological, behavioral, and psychological factors associated with stress. There is also an evaluation of different stress relief strategies and their effects on stress reduction....
