China Cybersecurity: A Threat to the U.S
The top officials from the law execution and national security entities in the United States point to the Chinese cyber threat to the U.S. The issue is feared to be more remarkable and extensive than earlier imagined. The Chinese intelligence agencies have advanced their approaches and tactics in their spying actions in the realm of cyber intelligence. The Chinese engage in diverse players, from counterintelligence officers pretending to be diplomats to the cyber groups for hire to advance their massive and planned theft of state data and treasured intelligence assets.
The Chinese cyber threat has become advanced and persistent, and China is today considered a severe counterintelligence threat. China got accused of stealing the U.S.'s intelligence property and using it to prosper the Chinese economic power. The threat has become more prominent than the domestic terrorism threats earlier feared in the country. In 2019, the United States Council of Foreign Relations hosted an event focused on China's cyber threat (Lindsey, 2019). The meeting declared that China was forging its way up the monetary ladder and described some of the Chinese tactics in deploying to steal intelligence and state secrets.
China has been exposed for its regular recruitment of University alumni and researchers to mine data and technology intel back to China.
