Web Browser and Server Communication
The Internet has become an essential tool for business and communication in the modern world. People can send each other messages in the form of text, audio, and visual, which facilitates faster communication. Businesses have taken advantage of such features by adopting eCommerce, which increases their customer reach and hence a high number of sales. An essential software that facilitates communication and business on the Internet is the web browser. It retrieves content from a website and displays it on a user's device, provided there are no errors during the transmission of information.
A web browser relies on the use of various features of the Internet in order to facilitate communication. For instance, it uses the uniform resource locator (URL) to identify the location of the website desired by the user (What is a web browser? 2020). In ordinary terms, the URL is the website address, which a user types on the browser's address bar. The website is usually stored in a web server where the web browser sends the requests for content. Communication between a web browser and the server occurs through the hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP). HTTP is a client-server protocol that facilitates the transfer of hypermedia between a server and a client, which is normally a web browser. HTTP is a client-server protocol because it requires the client to initiate communication by making requests and the server to respond with the appropriate information. The browser requests are usually known as GET requests. It then displays the received information as a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) document (What is a web browser? 2020). The document is organized using assistive technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript. Depending on the organization of the document, a web browser may make additional GET requests from other servers for information that is contained in the page. In addition, to providing the document, a server also provides the browser with the HTTP response status codes. The status codes can be categorized as information, success, redirects, server errors, and client errors. The most common status code is the 200 OK status, which indicates that a get request has been executed successfully. Thus, a browser requests information from the server, which issues the required information and the status of the response.

Unfortunately, problems can occur during the transmission of data due to various issues. For example, the computer network interface can have problems, which can affect the device's connection to the network. For example, a network adapter may fail to detect a network connection. A wireless connection adapter may fail to detect the wireless network or be unable to connect to it (More, 2020). A computer might also be connected to a faulty ne...
