Your bibliography and citations may be in APA format. Please see the rubric below along with the other attachments to find the required items (i.e., a picture on your cover page) needed in your paper.
If you use any of the information from your sources word-for-word (cut and paste), you must cite the source by using internal sourcing, like this example: in the paragraph after a quote longer than two sentences or a major piece of information that most people do not know, place in parentheses the source and page number (Smith, pg. 22). There MUST be a “Smith” entry in your Bibliography. Warning: do not use "cut and paste" material more than 25% of your written assignment.
The assignment must include a cover page with your name, course number and title, instructor's name (spelled correctly), university name and date of turn in to the instructor in the bottom right hand corner, right justified. Additionally, you need to have a title for your paper (must be between 18 and 24 font) about 1/4 of the way down from the top of the page. And, you need to have an appropriate picture centered on the cover page. You must also include a bibliography at the end of your paper. While composing your paper, use proper English. Do not use abbreviations, contractions, passive voice, or first/second person (I, you, we, our, etc). Before submitting your paper, check your grammar (at a cite like grammarly.com or a reliable friend, teacher, etc.) and use a spell checker. Remember, the way you talk or text is not the way you write a paper. WARNING: There has been a serious tendency for students to ignore proper punctuation in their papers, lately. This is especially turn-ins with leaving out most or all commas. I am going to seriously take off points for punctuation errors. Warning! If you make 4 or more comma errors, I WILL take off 5 points automatically. Please make sure to open the attachment below for supplemental information. John Brown and the Election Of 1860
John Brown’s impact on the elections in 1860 rose from his involvement in the extinction of slavery in the United States. Although he had genuine intentions of setting the slaves free, his mission did not succeed. It resulted in more separation of the North and South Regions in the country and also his death. The simple action to promote democracy made the country's issues worse, and the demographic had to battle worse situations. However, individuals such as Holt pushed for the achievement of honesty in the government. Attaining the goal would ensure better lives for the Americans since the leaders would reign in democracy and render freedom to the citizens. Although Brown intended to ensure freedom of the slaves in the country, he did not achieve his objective, and the induced disagreement between the regions led to the declaration of the extension of slavery after the election of Lincoln as the president in 1860.
Brown became popular in the United States in 1859 when he indulged in the fighting against slavery in the country. The radical abolitionist believed the action should get eradicated through any available and suitable means, including violence (Hallett, n.d.). According to him, everybody in the country should have had freedom despite their position, whether leaders or not. The entire demographic also deserved liberty regardless of the variations in aspects such as cultural basis, social classes, and race. Consequently, "radical abolitionist John Brown and eighteen armed men, both blacks and whites, attacked the federal arsenal in Harpers Ferry, Virginia (Hallett, n.d.).” The union revealed by the two races during the raid shows their solidarity in the desire to end slavery in the United States. Also, the aspect of getting in the Ferry while armed shows that the men had prepared any necessary means to ensure they achieved their target in eradicating slavery. Many people in America's population knew Brown after the raiding incident.
Although Brown did not intend or anticipate a negative impact except the use of force and violence to end slavery, his raid resulted in a profound split between the North and South Democrats. Furthermore, the attack led to his death, and he could not witness or continue with his rescue mission. The United States' government captured and pressed charges against Brown and his troop. Consequently, Brown was sentenced and hanged to death for treason by the State of Virginia on 2nd December 1859 (Hallett, n.d.). He met his demise before the accomplishment of his desire to end slavery. Also, He initiated a more profound disagreement between the Southern and the Northern people than before the actual raiding of Ferry. The post-slavery movements campaigned for the reign of the Southern Democrats (Stanley, 2019). Also, Fire-Eaters devoted to ensuring that the Northern De...
