The literature review of a dissertation is more than a "book report" that summarizes a set of research articles. The literature review is a synthesis of ideas. This synthesis illuminates a gap in the research literature that can be filled by additional research such as a doctoral dissertation. In this assignment, you will synthesize the articles you summarized in the Topic 2 assignment, and you will describe how the synthesis of the articles informs a gap in the research that your dissertation study will fill.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
Refer to assignment from Topic 2 and the related instructor feedback on the assignment.
Instructors will be using a grading rubric to grade the assignments. It is recommended that learners review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment in order to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.

Directions:
Locate your completed assignment form Topic 2 and the feedback from your instructor.
Write a paper (1,250-1,500 words) that synthesizes the 10 studies you summarized in the Topic 2 assignment. Do that by including the following in your paper:
A statement of common findings addressed in each of the articles.
A statement of the conclusions that can be drawn when the articles are taken together as a single entity (synthesis). What is the overall message of the group of articles? (Benchmarks: Critically appraise and synthesize existing research.)
A discussion of how these studies, when taken together, inform the research gap that your dissertation will fill.

Telehealth can prove useful during a pandemic crisis. During such periods, the healthcare system may be overwhelmed by a significant number of ill patients. So, using telehealth may help bridge the gap between sick patients and the health workforce. The research in the five articles revealed some common findings. These findings can help determine the core issues currently in telehealth. The articles covered various aspects of telehealth, which, when taken, brings out the current state of the telehealth industry. A stronger telehealth system is essential in managing patients during a Pandemic crisis. So, a literature review will help identify areas that can be improved within a telehealth system to improve health outcomes. This article examines the collective findings from these articles. It will use the results to draw an overall conclusion relating to telehealth. The paper will also isolate the core message from the items. Then, it will show how the articles help form the basis of the research gap.
Common findings
According to Arkwright, Leslie, and Light (2019), a successful telehealth system needs proper management of financial variables. It was determined that continuous variables present in telehealth systems make it a challenging business model. These variables include the telehealth governance structure, health provides, patients, technology, quality of care, health outcomes, and geography. So, an effective governance structure is necessary to integrate these continuous variables and create a solid business model. The telehealth business model is an active part of the healthcare system that undergoes constant evolution. However, following the core attributes of a telehealth model will be essential in establishing an efficient and organized operation, these attributes emphasize on safety, patient satisfaction, providing quality care, and user-friendly systems. Telehealth systems involve the use of sophisticated technologies, and patients and providers must use systems that are easy to use. The hardware, software, and interfaces should be easy to navigate to ensure quality visits. So, Arkwright, Leslie, and Light (2019) emphasize the significance of cost, quality, and access in telehealth systems.
Bjørkquist, Forss, and Samuelsen (2019) found out that elaborate systems prevented effective delivery of telehealth services in Norwegian primary care institutions. Their study found that staff considered the systems difficult to use. This posed a challenge in accessing patient information from the home nursing patient records. The inadequate information flow from the various units in a health organization affected their response to any emergency. So, the article brought to light the significance of implementing user-friendly patient record systems in telehealth models. Another finding from their study was a collaboration between management and staff. Their research showed that strong leadership is vital for the successful delivery of telecare services. Better control ensures enhanced co-operation and co-ordination between various units in a health entity.
