Identify two considerations that represent areas your place of employment presently has in place. Explain how they will positively impact the Simulation Lab set up.
The two main considerations required when setting up a simulation lab that are currently present in my place of employment include space requirements and design requirements. The aforementioned considerations will affect the simulation lab positively because of the following reasons. First, assigning the required space will enable my organization to plan for all aspects of the simulation lab. Some of the aspects my organization will plan for (based on the space requirements) include financial resources and the design requirements. It is because getting the correct space requirements will enable my organization to estimate the required financial resources and design requirements. Additionally, space requirements will enable the organization to plan for the correct location of the simulation lab because small simulation labs can be located near the hospital while large simulation labs should be located away from the hospital (Ross, 2012).
It is also notable that the design requirements will positively affect setting up of a simulation lab in my organization. This owes to the reality that my organization will plan for special rooms such as waiting and reception areas, teaching areas, skill areas and support areas. The design requirements will also enable my organization to plan effectively for the required equipment, because the organization will design smaller rooms for smaller equipment and larger rooms for large equipment. In short, the main positive impact of considering space and design requirements is that my organization will plan effectively for setting up a simulation lab.
