Abstract
Nurses are seen as the designers of the care process. They have the clinical experience and editorial base needed to promote health issues. In addition, nurses are trained to treat patients with different needs. These may include face-to-face meetings depending on how the formulation affects patients. In addition, nurse practice methods include combining clinical leadership with team- and family-centered nursing. Assessing patients and providing care in emergencies, especially in the outpatient setting, are some of the critical roles of nurses. This article discusses the role of advanced nurse practitioners in the current health care field and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report's emphasis on the significance of advanced nurse practitioners.

Introduction
Nurses are responsible for using advanced methods to deal with acute and stable situations. In addition, the nursing staff is responsible for acting as mentors and guiding colleagues as they enter nursing roles. This article focuses on the role of advanced practice nurses by comparing past and present concerns regarding these essential health professionals. The article discusses the role of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), the reason why I want to become an ANP, a discussion of one research article that focuses on the role of nurse practitioner, the emphasis of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) report regarding the requirement of Nurse Practitioners and the impact of being an advanced practice nurse regarding the patient outcomes and healthcare industry.
Role of Advanced Nurse Practitioner
An ANP is one with advanced training. Nurses are trained to develop skills that help them analyze, diagnose, and recommend treatments for people with undiagnosed illnesses (Soco et al., 2021). Once positive health outcomes are achieved, patients should be cared for by highly skilled professionals who can provide quality and professional care. Over the past two decades, the number of older adults with health conditions has increased. Therefore, people trained in innovation are needed to cope with this situation.
Nurse practitioners can provide primary, emergency, and specialized medical care. They evaluate patients, diagnose, and prescribe illnesses and injuries treatments. The nurse practitioner often provides a more holistic approach to patient care and may have substantial education and communication skills.
Nurse practitioners require certification for advanced practice to become certified nurse practitioners (CNP) to deal with different patients' complex and changing needs (Alotaibi & Al Anizi, 2020). Certified nurse practitioners ensure that patients receive the attentive care they need.
These healthcare professionals work in classrooms and a hands-on environment (Carney et al., 2020). The nurse's role as a clinical consultant includes designing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying the nursing curriculum.
