In a 1,000–1,250-word essay, summarize two quantitative studies.
Using the "Research Critique Guidelines – Part II" document to organize your essay.
You are required to cite a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years, appropriate for the assignment criteria, and relevant to nursing practice.

Rough Draft Quantitative Research Critique and Ethical Considerations
Quantitative Studies
The following are the selected studies for the quantitative research critique provided herein:
* Green-Morris G. (2019). An evaluation of the effectiveness of foot care education in rural clinics. Journal of diabetes and metabolic disorders, 18(1), 207-215. https://doi.org/10.1007/s40200-019-00407-0
* Oni, D. (2019). Diabetes-Related Foot Care Interventions for Preventing Diabetic Foot Ulcerations: A Systematic Review of Literature. International Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders, 5(3), 1-7.
Background
According to Green-Morris (2019), diabetes makes for a health burden that disproportionately affects the ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic minorities across Mississippi. The prevalence rate of diabetes among Mississippi’s adult population stands at 13.3%, thus exposing the affected individuals to the diverse complications of the disease, including the different manifestations of diabetic foot problems. Among the most common foot problems faced by diabetic individuals include ulceration, tissue destruction of the foot, and infection (Green-Morris, 2019).
Green-Morris observes that foot ulceration is the most prevalent foot problem among diabetes patients in the rural clinic network. The research study further notes that there exists no recorded data on the efficacy of providing foot ulcer prevention education to patients within the rural clinic setting (Green-Morris, 2019). Thus, future studies to evaluate the effectiveness of foot care education would benefit from a program that embraces diversity across the racial, ethical, and socioeconomic domains (Green-Morris, 2019).
On the other hand, David Oni (2019) provides a systematic literature review on existing diabetes-related foot care interventions for preventing diabetic foot ulcerations. The researcher observes that preventing diabetes foot ulcers (DFUs) and re-ulceration remains a significant challenge despite the availability of diverse interventional measures (Oni, 2019). The research study further takes note of the limited evidence of merits advocating for the efficacy of self-foot care practices in preventing DFUs and re-ulceration among patients with diabetes mellitus (Oni, 2019). The research study thus purposes to critically appraise the current interventional research studies on foot care practices among diabetic patients to establish the correlation between self-foot care interventions and reduction in diabetic foot ulcers (Oni, 2019). The study further identifies gaps in the research studies under evaluation toward providing effective frameworks for designing enhanced future interventional research studies that produce more substantial recommendations for primary and secondary prevention of DFUs in clinical settings (Oni, 2019).
How do these two articles support the nurse practice issue you chose?
Green-Morris’ article develops from the research study’s observation of the prevalence of diabetes and its subsequent diabetes foot complications among Mississippi’s adult population. The author evaluates t...
