How do they recognize the influence of life and health habits on the occurrence of hospitalization? How do you understand caring for yourself and your illness in the long run?

COPD is among the chronic diseases considered a global problem due to the risks it poses to the patients. The disease has claimed many lives because some victims have little or no knowledge of coping with the disease. One of the challenges that health practitioners find in managing the disease is that some patients refuse to change their lifestyle even after being found with the disease. Managing chronic disease requires a lot of discipline, for they can claim the lives of individuals within a short period if not well handled. This paper focuses on the perceptions and coping management of chronic pulmonary diseases.
Chronic obstruction is one of the main causes of global deaths. The most affected people are the adult of middle age and old age. Some of the features of the disease include coughing, wheezing as well as breathlessness. The disease is mainly caused by cigarette smoking, fumes from the industries, and various chemicals (Ryrsø et al., 2018). Therefore, the treatment administered to the patients found with this disease is to reduce some of the mild symptoms and prevent damages related to the disease.
Patients have come up with various ways to cope with the disease, including medical, non-pharmacological, and change of behaviors. One of the recommended strategies to patients is using medicine to contain the condition; this involves the use of inhalants (Harb et al., 2017). This method has been praised and rejected at equal measure; some patients claim that using inhalants is difficult if the patient is breathless. Another significant way used to control the disease is by conducting body exercise. This includes daily walks, gym as well as swimming. These breathing exercises are deemed to be very important to patients facing such kinds of problems.
