The purpose of the study by Souza et al. (2020) was to design a partnership between communities and academics that would improve the capacity to help community healthcare professionals in collating fundamental data about medical, psychological, and psychosocial components of elderly persons over the age of 50 years housed in permanent supportive facilities. The researchers recruited a study sample of homeless persons over 50 years for participating in this study (Souza et al., 2020). These homeless individuals were housed in supportive institutions by a private organization in Washington. The experts used a research design that integrates mini-cogs for screening the study parameters and supported it using a demographic survey. They also incorporated Health Measures Scoring Services for scoring the PROMIS scales.
