Data Collection Strategies to Measure Baseline Measurements
           Assessing the improvements caused by an intervention requires a careful analysis of different results across time. This includes a study of data before, during, and after the intervention (Golding et al., 2017). Accordingly, this study would utilize various data collection strategies to measure baseline measurements and improvements. 
           As said earlier, this study would use a mixed methodology with a primary focus on a quantitative methodology. Notably, the quantitative methodology would be causal-comparative or quasi-experimental research, which aims to determine the cause-effect relationship between various independent and dependent variables without manipulating the groups to be studied (Rutgers.edu, 2022). 
In this study, the author would like to determine the effect of protocols on personal electronic handheld (phones) devices and patient education in improving the quality of care in the specific Intensive Care Unit (ICU), which is the focus of this case. Given the naturally pre-existing groups without the need for introducing control and other groups, the quasi-experimental methodology in both collection and processing is practical and feasible. 
Duration of Data Collection
           The data collection process would begin even before the introduction of the intervention. It includes the perceived quality of care (1) before, (2) during, and (3) three weeks after the intervention. While the necessity for determining the perceived quality of care during the intervention is straightforward, its determination after the intervention is based on the results of previous studies. In one study by Stillwell et al. (2017), the authors noted that specific effects of EBP interventions might be observed as late as three weeks after
           Subsequently, data collection would be conducted twice a month for the 6-month intervention period. This would allow the authors to monitor any significant trends or patterns in perceived efficacy and workplace productivity.
