Organizational development is the use of resources to enhance productivity and efficiency. It is mainly aimed at increasing the corporation’s competitiveness so as to create a business that wins in the marketplace. This can be through maximizing profit, market share, cultural values, and other sources of competitive advantage. Organizational development helps businesses transition into an effective change, and it involves changing processes, technology, or people. Because it affects every aspect of the business, it requires an investment of both time and resources.
General Motors is one of the fortune 1,000 companies in 2019, as ranked by Fortune Magazine. The company can be regarded as a game-changer in the automobile industry. GM is estimated to employ about 173,000 individuals currently working as devoted employees.
