Yahoo is an American web services provider that is owned by Verizon Media after the media company bought the former for $4.8 billion in 2017. The case study highlights several challenges that saw the collapse of the giant web services company, which once defined the internet driven business model. One of the company’s biggest shortcoming was its inability to consider how technology would displace human curation of the web.
