China's military doctrine closely associates cyber-attacks and nuclear high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) attacks, as part of a combined operation in what they call Total Information Warfare. Is this a weapon that terrorists could obtain to incapacitate the United States? Could nations use terrorist proxies to carry out this type of attack?
Experts disagree as to the threat from rouge nations with nuclear weapons (North Korea, Pakistan, Iran in the future, etc.) providing those weapons to non-state actors. Do you think that this is a concern or are nation states not willing to cross this line?

Agro-terrorism’s worst-case scenario against the United States’ food and agricultural industries encompasses intentional malicious activities that damage and interfere with the country's effective food supply chain, triggering significant disruptions to the national economy, health, and security. Agriculture sustains a nation’s social, political, and economic resilience by offering relevant food commodities. A safe food supply network is among the fundamental aspects of contemporary societies and what most citizens anticipate from their governments (Djurle et al., 2022).
Agro-terrorism threats include a set of potential hazards, with several threat agents posing unique risks. Most importantly, Olson (2012) claims that the US’s agro-terrorism threats originate from four primary categories. Firstly, economic opportunists try to manipulate food markets. For instance, they introduce a virus like a foot and mouth disease (FMD) that would, in turn, impact the markets drastically. The second category comprises transnational groups, such as al Qaeda, likely to affect the US economy. Thirdly, environmental and animal rights activists who consider consuming animals immoral can affect the animal food sector. Finally, Olson (2012) also specifies that America is likely to experience the impact brought about by domestic terrorists. Despite these threats or risks, the US administration is committed to addressing the issue efficiently through implementing various practical mitigation techniques. For example, the country has three levels of government, the federal, state, and local levels, that facilitate the working of law enforcement agencies, equipping them with resources to monitor and conduct criminal investigations. Also, organizations like the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Food and Drug Association (FDA) control and oversee food production, allowing high-quality and secure food products. The strict regulations in place help discourage possible agro-terrorists.
