In this era, discrimination is not setting itself free from us. Racism is a state of belief that different races possess different features and qualities, distinguishing them in superior or inferior terms. The following reflective essay will focus on different race statuses and aspects. One of the several reactions to the workbook was the race concept developed by the contributors of the workbook. They have developed their thoughts on dismantling race. If a person is a United States citizen, they know that race and racism have been constructed in the country. For instance, "When three servants working for a farmer run away to Maryland, two are white, and one is black…." (Jones, and Okun 2). Some United States acts laying a race foundation that considers the whites at the top and the blacks at the bottom. Other people and communities of different colors are based on historical context and .power needs.
The idea that human races have been viewed as natural and separate divisions based on the physical differences of persons has helped explain the AAA statement on race. Evidence from DNA has indicated that more significant variations between ratios can exist. Physical characteristics appear gradually over geographical areas. The race concept was put into place after the theorem of the great chain of being that focused on race as a mode of classification that was explicitly linked to people's situations in colonial times “Racial beliefs constitute myths about the diversity in the human species and about the abilities and behavior of people homogenized into racial categories” ("AAA Statement On Race - Connect With AAA"). As a result, the race has evolved as a pre-judgment body, destroying people's ideas on human differences. The world view of race was developed to assign people to low status while others exercised privileges.
