The article contains a number of issues that could have an impact on the United States politics today and in the future. According to the article, most of the Donald Trump supporters were not in a more precarious economic situation compared to his non-supporters. Therefore, it is not economic drive that made them vote for him and something else could have played a great role in his victory. During his campaigns, Trump occasionally used racial resentments and immigration rhetoric. He relied on the pre-existing disdain for various vulnerable groups such as Mexican immigrants, Muslims, and African Americans. In addition, he exploited the fact that most of his supporters had lower levels of education and thus, they have little knowledge of politics and what ideas they should consider while making their political choice.
