Consider your strengths from both an internal perspective, and from the point of view of your customers and people in your market.
Also, if you're having any difficulty identifying strengths, try writing down a list of your organization's characteristics. Some of these will hopefully be strengths!
When looking at your strengths, think about them in relation to your competitors. For example, if all of your competitors provide high quality products, then a high quality production process is not a strength in your organization's market, it's a necessity.

Donald Trump is the only president in the history of the United States, who had no prior government or military experience at the time of election into office. He does not shy off from speaking his mind. He is loved and loathed in equal measure. He is the 45th president of the United States of America. From a businessman and a television host, right into the highest office on earth. Never before in the history of American politics had this happened. One cannot help but wonder, what strengths propelled him, and got him there? What weaknesses showed along the way? What opportunities and threats does he face?
SWOT Analysis
Strengths
He is wealthy
Donald Trump’s net worth is estimated to be in the region of 3.75 billion USD, though he is on record saying that he is worth over 10 billion USD (Tully and Parloff 121). It can be said without much controversy that money is one of the most important things required to win an election. A candidate needs to sell their name and ideas to the electorate mostly through advertisements, which gobble up colossal amounts of money. Several candidates turn to donors to help raise this amount. This was no problem for Donald Trump. He constantly asserted that since he was campaigning on a self-funded model, his presidency would not have any special obligations to any special interests. Though he said that he would spend $100 million to finance his campaign, it was established that he only contributed $66 million (REUTERS). His strong financial muscle was a strength that he utilized well in his race for office.
His business acumen and celebrity status
Donald Trump joined his family real estate business at an early age. The booming market saw his fortunes skyrocket, making him a popular businessman. He was endeared by some electorates for this very reason. Some Republicans felt that he could use the skills he had employed in the business world to successfully run the country.
Through the ups and downs of his business life, Trump was known to have strong negotiation skills. This is evidenced in a 1980s case where he managed to convince investors that getting the name Trump off buildings would badly hurt the business (Tully and Parloff 116). This is a skill that electorates felt would be helpful in making trade deals and other issues affecting the US.
Taking a name to the people is one of the challenges that politicians must tackle. Being a celebrity came with huge name recognition. He also easily attracted the media without necessarily having to pay.
Ability to speak what people wanted to hear
His ideas were majorly populist, and they served their purpose. They voiced what Americans had felt for so long on matters such as immigration and trade, but did not get an opportunity to voice their opinions. He became their voice. He made the populist wave the wind under his sail, and it took him home. He conveyed their ideas, and they gave him their support (Gaughan). Most Americans were also tired of the same politics, all the time, and they felt that an outsider would be different. Trump offered that option.
