1 Life Course staged according to the textbook and based on my experience. What are the similarities and the differences?
As established in the textbook, I am in a transitional stage between teenage life and adulthood. The handbook provided critically considers this phase as neither adulthood nor adolescence, a phase in life that sees individuals try to find themselves and shift in a slower manner towards becoming adults. During this phase, these people still get aid from their parents. Comparatively, this is evident in my life (Vinovskis, 2011). I moved from my folks’ house when I was eighteen years for a college education that took close to four years. I began my college during this period, an aspect that helped me in supporting myself. However, I still had the need for financial assistance from my family when I required the aid in as much as I have the freedom to make my choices and decisions. In this case, it is imperative to consider that occupation, education, income, age, gender, and race are essential in constructing social locations.

Dramaturgy is considered as a sociological approach comprised of symbolic interactionism used in analyzing everyday life. This concept, therefore, makes use of metaphors of theater to establish human behavior. A favorable example from my life experience that clearly establishes the manner in which dramaturgy is evident would be about my work experience. As a manager of a small organization within my community, there are several open issues between the employees and the clients that require me and the service team members in coming up with a long lasting solution, an aspect that inclusively denotes the need for teamwork is finding solutions to the problems within the organization (Vinovskis, 2011).
