Orientalism by Edward W. Said
The author of this article, 'Orientalism,' attempts to use a continental interdisciplinary approach to powerfully critique the Western representations of the East and the emergence of the 'oriental' stereotype. The way the author sheds light on the complex balance of power, cultural bias, and knowledge is thought-provoking.
