Diplomacy is the process between two actors representing states in an internal relations system and engaging in public and private dialogues to pursue specific objectives peacefully. According to McGlinchey (2018), diplomacy may be seen as a structured communication system between two or more parties. This idea shows that diplomacy has existed since the origin and existence of civilization. The first evidenced records of contact between civilizations are dated 2500 years ago. The regular interactions back then lacked modern diplomacies' most common characteristics, such as embassies and international law (McGlinchey, 2018). Modern diplomacy is evolving rapidly in the current time than in the second half of the 20th century. The research by Scott-Smith (2018) shows that it is an issue between countries and an engagement, including coalitions, with current public diplomacy majoring in current rebooting. The idea of adding public diplomacy to the existing diplomatic process is an upgrade of the entire practice. The enhancements are encouraged by the continuously revolving communications in the 21st century (Scott-Smith, 2018). Consequently, diplomacy is forced to adapt to the radically attained different global surroundings where states have ignored aspects like setting the specific agendas for interactions.
On the other hand, the significant connection in communication empowered by vast news’ sources introduced public opinion as the second and probably the only global superpower. However, the expansion does not alter the significant objective of diplomatic processes.
