Following your observation and group discussion relating to an observation of a video clip, you now need to complete this individual report/plan for formative feedback. The discussion and this form will provide you with the opportunity to achieve LO4; Work effectively as part of a team to discuss theory and practice, or to evaluate and formulate reports during the course of learning and teaching opportunities.
* This report will be your plan for your final written assignment.
* The report is 'equivalent' to 500 words.
* You can use the notes made on your 'Group notes' form to help you but remember that this is your plan for your assignment so you can choose whatever you like as the focus for each paragraph.
* You must include a reference list at the end of this report. You should make sure you use the ARU Harvard referencing guide.
* The report/plan needs to be uploaded onto Canvas for your tutor by the end of Week 8.

Getting the children's attention and making eye contact (sometimes it may be necessary to get down to the child).
Speaking clearly and calmly to get the children comfortable.
Using age-appropriate and simple language.
Repeating or modelling what the child has said.
Repeating sentences to children and extending what they have said.

Learners should be able to speak coherently with very little trouble. It is essential to gauge each learner based on age. It is also clear that there are vocabularies that cannot be used by relatively young learners, and they cannot be gauged based on their inability to speak or understand such vocabularies. Language also has the aspect of speaking and listening. The students should be well versed with the basic aspects of language when it is spoken to them.
