Over the years, our firm has gradually continued to experience tremendous growth and development locally. As a result, we have decided to go global and expand our business into another country. In the 21st century, the United States of America has become one of the best countries that have been offering several innovative strategies to operate a business. Therefore, our company has decided to expand its operations in this country. Although American business people look to other people from different corners of the world when operating business, business culture, traditions, and norm in the country has strengthened into a unique one. Thus, as the head of Human Resources (HR), I am responsible for preparing a presentation of the working culture, including punctuality, teamwork, dress code, business structure, meetings, and culture shock management to improve performance.
Even though business culture in the country varies, there are some popular and common features of all businesses. Normally, team members come and go at a certain point in the company's life cycle (Weissburg, 2022). New staffs join the organization when important roles occur and depart once their tasks are over. Usually, the relationship between employees and employers is mainly transactional, with minimal information limited to surface-level greetings.
Punctuality is massively encouraged and emphasized in the United States. When a worker is late, organizations see that as a waste of money and time. As a result, being punctual, going to your work, and sticking to the structure are common among businesses in the USA (United States: Business practices, 2022). Therefore, time is a crucial commodity, and employees and employers are considered a marker of success (Anandraj, 2021). Time management will help our staff avoid lateness, which can decrease productivity.
In the United States, teams comprise groups of people linked together to complete projects or tasks. Every team member is expected to commit to the projected goals and show dedication to ensure the organization achieves its goals.
