Executive Dashboard Memos and Excel Spreadsheet

Other (Not Listed) Instructions:

Good Evening dear Writer,
This assignment needs 3 page Memo and Excel Spreadsheet.
I have work with a writer which one unfortunately didn't read my professor notes and now i am pretty behind my schedule.
You will see on the dashboard Memo 1, Excel 1 and Memo 2 and Excel 2. First one is my work second the writer. The last Memo was grade by professor and you can also check for it. I need you follow his recommendation plus RUBRICS. This what you read in the rubrics let me pass my work. Rubrics contain Learning objectives, each has a grade from 0 to 3 i need 2 to pass. Objective 1.1, 1.2 and 4 etc are good you will see that my professor grade some of them as 2! this one with 1 need to be fixed specially critical thinking. Here is what need to be fixed:
EXAMPLE:
Learning Objective: Executive Dashboard
Learning Objective 2.1: Analyze computations to determine which ratios are above their industry averages.
My grade:
Analysis only partially demonstrates which of the 11 ratios are above their industry average.
Rationales are furnished for ratios selected as being above industry average, but are weak or they are not provided.
Learning Objective 2.2: Analyze computations to determine which ratios are below their industry averages.
My grade:
Analysis only partially demonstrates which of the 11 ratios are below their industry average.
Rationales are furnished for ratios selected as being under industry average, but are weak, or they are not provided.
Learning Objective 3.1: Determine specific ways for a company to improve financial performance over time.
My grade:
Ways in which the company can plan to improve below industry average ratio performance over time are furnished, but they are not well explained.
At least one way for each ratio identified as being below industry average is not vetted.
Annual targets over the next 3 years to catch up with or surpass industry averages are not or only partially identified for ratios designated as being substandard.
Learning Objective 3.2: Present rationales as to why recommendations for
improvement in financial ratio performance will be effective.
My grade:
Provides some rationales for some of the ways in which the company can improve below industry average ratio performance over time.
Rationale does not include why time horizon selected and annual improvement targets are reasonable for the company to achieve.
Critical Thinking PS 5.1: Analyze assumptions and fallacies.
My grade:
Response is weak in assessing the reasonableness of assumptions in a given argument.
Response does not adequately identify and discuss the implications of fallacies or logical weaknesses in a given argument.
Critical Thinking PS 5.2: Generate reasonable and appropriate assumptions.
My grade: Response does not adequately present and discuss key assumptions in an original argument.
Critical Thinking PS 5.3: Assess multiple perspectives and alternatives
My grade:
Response does not identify nor adequately consider multiple perspectives or alternatives
Critical Thinking PS 5.4: Use problem-solving skills.
My Grade:
Response presents solutions, but they are ineffective in addressing the specific problem
my professor notes:
EXAMPLE:
-The Company Financial Ratio Results listed in the Excel Spreadsheet should be the same as those listed in the Appendix in the Memo.
-Discussion regarding this learning objective was included in your previous assessment attempt and I did not see it included in this attempt. Please include going forward.
-Excel Formula Function should be used for calculating all Company Financial Ratio Results including Current Ratio and Total Asset Turnover. The Company Financial Ratio Results listed in the Excel Spreadsheet should be the same as those listed in the Appendix in the Memo.
-I would use one or two of your listed references and/or another reference for critical thinking analysis regarding comparing Company Financial Ratio Results to each Updated Industry Average.
-Discussion regarding this learning objective was included in your previous assessment attempt and I did not see it included in this attempt. Please include going forward.
HERE IS OVERVIEW OF STUDY CASE:
Overview
In this Work Product Assessment, you will examine various financial reports of a publicly traded company and conduct financial ratio analysis to demonstrate your ability to understand a company’s financial health and analyze ways to improve in areas revealed as being below industry average.
Professional Skills: Written Communication, Technology, and Critical Thinking and Problem Solving are assessed in this Competency.
You are strongly encouraged to use the Academic Writing Expectations Checklist when completing this Assessment.
Your response to this Assessment should:
• Reflect the criteria provided in the Rubric.
• Adhere to the required assignment length.
• Conform to APA style guidelines. You may use Walden Writing Center’s APA Course Paper Template.
This Assessment requires submission of two (2) files. Save your files as follows:
• Save the Excel file as SF002_Excel_firstinitial_lastname (for example, SF002_Excel_ J_Smith).
• Save the Word file as SF002_Word_firstinitial_lastname (for example, SF002_Word_ J_Smith).
When you are ready to upload your completed Assessment, use the Assessment tab on the top navigation menu.
Instructions
Before submitting your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the assessor will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help them direct their focus and use their time most productively.
Rubric
Access the following to complete this Assessment:
• Financial Ratio Excel Spreadsheet
• Text: Fundamentals of Financial Management, Chapter 4, "Analysis of Financial Statements"
Prompts
Taking the role of a financial analyst within the company, prepare an executive dashboard (performance report) on a large, publicly traded company of your choice (e.g., Cisco, Walmart, IBM, Apple, etc.) by computing and comparing its ratios against the 11 industry average ratios listed in Problem 4-23 on page 129 of the text.
It is imperative for you to understand the use of good academic writing (visit the Walden Writing Center), use of online library for academic resources (not internet sources), SEC.gov for financial filings (not annual reports from a company website), and most importantly, your job is to do vetting of anything companies claim on their websites. The use of Wikipedia, Investopedia, financial related websites, blogs, etc. is not appropriate for this competency.
• Use the provided Financial Ratio Excel Spreadsheet to show the computed financial ratios for your chosen company and industry averages. Prepare your performance report to show calculations for the 11 ratios listed on page 129, as well as a comparison of your computed ratios with industry averages. It is a good idea to be familiar with each industry's classification! A good place to start is to look for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and look for the industry of your chosen company through https://www(dot)census(dot)gov/eos/www/naics/. Please notice how it is a US Government website, not a ".com". Then, visit the Walden University Library and access the IBIS World database in order to look for the appropriate industry standards: https://ezp(dot)waldenulibrary(dot)org/login?url=https://clients1(dot)ibisworld(dot)com. The comparisons, including a list of your computations in a table, should be added as an appendix to the memo described below and submitted as a separate Excel spreadsheet.
• Write a memo (approximately 2–3 pages) to your supervisor explaining your findings and your recommendations for where improvements are needed to increase financial health. Be sure to Include the following:
o Areas within the company that are both above and below industry standards
o An explanation of the limitations of using ratio analysis
o The qualitative factors that play a role in improving the company’s financial health
In the memo, suggest some specific ways in which the company can plan to improve below industry average ratio performance over time. Suggest annual targets over the next three years to catch up with or surpass industry averages. Explain why your recommendations should be effective.
PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW RUBRICS AND MY PROFESSOR NOTES.
WORK ON MY MEMO 1 AND MEMO 2 AND EXCEL SHOULD BE GOOD.
APENDIX NEED TO BE CHANGE LIKE IT WAS WITH EXCEL 1.

Executive Dashboard Memos and Excel Spreadsheet
Walden University
Learning Objective 1.1: Identify the ratios for chosen company and source(s) of data.
The ratios for HP are current ratio, total debt/total assets, times interest earned, EBITDA coverage, inventory turnover, days sales outstanding, fixed assets turnover, total assets turnover, profit margin, the return on total assets and the return on common equity. These ratios are computed for the 2019 and 2020 financial years and compared with industry standards. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) classifies Hewlett-Packard under the US' Computers and Peripherals Manufacturing industry
Learning Objective 2.1 Ratios are above their industry averages.
The total debt/total assets, times interest earned, inventory turnover, profit margin, return on total assets and return on common equity are above the industry average in FY 2019 and 2020. In 2020, the total debt/total assets were 106%. The inventory is sold out and re-stocked at a higher rate than the industry as indicated by the higher ratio of inventory turnover. As the profit margin, return on total assets and return on common equity are higher than the industry there are higher returns on average than firms in the industry.
Learning Objective 2.2
In 2019 and 2020, the following ratios were below the industry average, the current ratio, EBITDA coverage, the days sales outstanding, fixed assets turnover, and the total assets turnover. The current ratio was 0.79 in FY 2020 and higher than the industry average at 1.70.
The current ratio is a liquidity ratio that is determined by dividing current assets by current liabilities. The current liabilities were increasing more than the current liabilities. In the FY 2020, the accounts payable was $14,704 million, and other current liabilities $10,842 million, and total current assets were USD 20,648 million.
The EBITDA coverage was 3.81 in FY 2019 and 2.05 in 2020 below the industry average at 5.10 and. The earnings from operations (EBITDA) decreased from USD 3,877 million to $ 3,462 million. The net revenue decreased in 2020 faster than the total costs and expenses.
The days sales outstanding was 37.47 days in 2019 and 34.68 days in 2020 below the industry average at. The ratio indicates on average, the days receivables remain outstanding before the company collects them. The accounts receivable fell from $ 6,031 million to 5,381 million.
The fixed assets turnover was 21.03 in 2019 and 21.56 versus the industry average of 31.40. HP is not using fixed assets to generate business when compared to firms in the industry. The total assets turnover was 1.76 for the financial year 2019 and 1.63 in 2020 when the industry average was 2.10 in both years. Sunjoko et al., (2016), highlight that the ratio indicates efficiency in using the total assets in obtaining sales and generating cash.
Learning Objective 3.1: Improving financial performance over time
The current ratio fell because the current liabilities rose faster than current assets. Increasing the current asset, reducing the current liabilities, or combining this would improve the company’s shorter-term liquidity. Increasing the sales revenue improves the turnover and the margin ...
