Name: Professor’s Name: Course: Due Date: Years of Living Dangerously: Indonesia Haze and Deforestation (Harrison Ford) What are your thoughts about the video you watched? The first thought is that the world is interconnected by nature. Humanity often likes to think that technology made the world more interconnected. Well, this is true but not entirely. The world has always been interconnected, and nature is the force behind this interconnectedness. From the video, one notices that the effects of what happens in one country cause a rippling effect all over the world. For example, the destruction of forests in Indonesia leads to the destruction of the atmosphere as global warming increases. As corruption and bad governance continue to become major hindrances to those who do good in Indonesia, the entire world grapples with global warming as carbon dioxide continues to be released into the atmosphere in great quantities. Even though humanity knows what is at stake, greed makes them blind to reality as the world continues to languish in more carbon dioxide. What stood out as something you did not know prior to watching it? One thing that stood out for me is the number of products that use palm oil. The word palm oil is quite common in the world. However, a few people know how many of their everyday products use palm oil. Examples of products that use palm oil inc...
