Philosophical View on Movie
The Ninth Day is a film about World War Two. A priest is sent to a concentration camp, where he faces a lot of challenges. For instance, he witnesses other prisoners being crucified. At some point, the priest is given a break of nine days from the camp. However, the nine days away from the camp are not easy for the priest. Officer Gebhardt asks him to handle a challenging task which he compares to Judas in the Bible. The officer tells the priest that he should use his power to convince the bishop about cooperating with the Nazis. When Henri, the priest, is released, he finds out that his family is no longer wealthy and lives in a small apartment. Such heightens the pressure on him to hate the Nazis.
