Saving Private Ryan
Introduction Saving Private Ryan is an action movie. It portrays the theme of heroism. A group of American soldiers are sent out to retrieve one of their citizens whose brothers died during the process of captivity. This movie won a total of sixty-four awards inclusive of five Oscars. It got another fifty-six nominations from different awards (Kehl, Jacqueline, Robert , Max 45). These statics prove that this film is very influential. This paper seeks to review this movie. The paper answers various questions in relation to world war two. The first question is about the soldiers attitudes towards their mission. The soldiers were very optimistic. Through the episodes indicated in this movie, I have learnt the following issues; the first one is that the death is inevitable during war. Sometimes the winning team loses most members or vice versa. The second issue revolves around the act of retreat. During the most intense phase of fire exchange, the American soldiers were forced to retreat. Both warring teams were forced to retreat at various times (Kehl, Jacqueline, Robert , Max 67). The third issue regards medics. Most injured soldiers die due to lack of proper medical attention. They run out of supplies during the war. Sometimes their camps are attacked without their knowledge. Most soldiers lose their lives in similar manners. Does the film portray American...
