The Drop Box Movie Review
The drop box is one of the movies that has this inspirational message to its viewers. Created by Brian Ivie, the movie focusses on a South Korean Pastor, Lee Jong-rak who decides to use all he has for the sake of humanity. One thing to note is that Pastor Lee’s good deed are the idea behind forming the documentary. The creates a drop box, or rather a baby box whereby mothers who are not able to raise their children bring them in. Most children brought are sickly or handicapped. Lee and his wife, Chunja, take the children into their custody. Human life is very important however the person might be thus as people, we should culture the practice of helping others, notwithstanding their impairments and always be ready to serve Christ always, and not sitting back to wait for others to solve everything.
As seen from the movie, Pastor Lee values human life. One thing that really inspires him is the fact that he also has an impaired child. As so, the pastor tries to imagine the difficulties other parents have to undergo. He pictures some people who cannot withstand having handicapped children. Taking all those into consideration, Lee comes up with a solution. In South Korea’s Seoul, Lee builds a drop box. He in fact encouraged parents not to throw away the handicapped children, for they might die. He tells them to bring the children to the drop box. This is very touching since not everyone is capable of providing for other people’s children, owing the fact that they are impaired. This shows how much human life is valued, no matter the status of the person.
