Robert Moses and Jane Jacob's Personality
Robert Moses, an indomitable planner, a go-getter, and an ambitious construction king, was a visionary New York broker who replaced poor housing with modern ones. In addition, he had bigger plans and projects, which destroyed parks to pave the way for highways and other contemporary projects. In the documentary, Robert seems cunning but an individual who can turn bold imaginary ideas into reality. On the other hand, Jane Jacob, a brilliant strategist, a journalist, a philanthropist, and a mother of two, disagreed with Moses and his ideologies. Jacob believed that the cities would be built in the bottom-up model, while Moses believed in the top-down model. However, she was compassionate and talented and, through activism, called out Moses' approach. As a result, Moses can be viewed as a capitalist while Jane depicts as a socialist.
