Reading Response: Babbage and Lovelace

I have acquired many essential pieces of history from this reading, one of which is Babbage and Lovelace; the two were ahead of their time with innovative ideas about programmable computers, but their ideas were lost in history due to the limitation of their era. This was quite an exciting note as I did not know the background story of how computers came to be. Moreover, it was interesting to learn how the two used their life situations to work together and make the unimaginable possible. For example, Lovelace was able to see the aesthetic implications of Charles's Analytical Engine since she had lived her career at a remarkable intersection of complex mathematics and Romantic poetry.
