I have previously heard about how social policy affects the lives of citizens. This idea correlates with issues on social services, social work, and social welfares. About social services, the government or other agencies provide such services to citizens. These social services may include housing, education, health insurance, wage bills, and even individual social services. The social policy, therefore, relates to other viewpoints on sociology to relate the social contexts of welfares. A policy refers to change in practices, behaviors, and also situations. Consequently, social policy involves the understanding and examination of the causes of social problems and the best sociological measures towards tackling those problems. Problems such as disability, unemployment, juvenile delinquency, and also other socially related biases like gender, poverty, race, sexual orientation, religion, and others require an informed response. The responses can only be availed by social care workers who put in more effort to offer protection, support, and guidance to susceptible clients. The social policies are what guide individuals in the knowledge of social services, for they exist to offer services for the benefit of the communities.
