Keeping Music in Schools
My topic is about the rationale for keeping music in schools. Music plays an integral part in the school curriculum due to various advantages to the learners, parents, teachers, and the community. There has been a controversial debate on keeping music in school recently, raising many concerns about its standings. This has created various feedbacks on different positions and verdicts on the matter. While some people support that music ought to be upheld in schools, others are requesting that music be eradicated from school. According to research, schools with music programs have significantly higher attendance rates than those without programs (93.3 percent compared to 84.9 percent) (Ho, 5).
