Ancient Rome survived for over 1000 years due to its civilization ability and domination in the early times. The civilization process focuses on changing with time to easily adapt and achieve the desired goals. Rome began as a small village in central Italy’s Tiber River and it grew to a large empire stretching to North Atlantic and the Persian Gulf (National Geographic, 2018). The military, cultural and military ability enabled Rome to experience continuous growth from a small village to a large empire. Rome changed its political structure can be divided into regal, republican, and imperial. The regal period of between 753-716 B.C. used kings, the republican system from 509-29 BC used consuls, and the imperial period focused on military strength helping conquer different areas. The steady growth of the Roman Empire required the use of new engineering methods to increase public health and the development of roads. The diverse people living in Rome led to the inclusion of different cultures. The adopting of different cultures was an approach to maintain the growth of the Roman Empire.
The Greeks are the ones who influenced Rome's civilization the most with the use of art and architecture. Roman structures used Greek architecture to increase the appearance and strength of buildings. Christianity spread with the interaction with the Greek culture. According to Elliott (2020), the Greeks introduced the use of money in the Roman Empire that helped in economic growth. The diverse approach by the Roman Empire helped the conquered cultures to contribute to empire growth. The remarkable and long political history of Romans was possible by applying approaches that focused on social development.
