Strategic Communication Plan
For a police department, maintaining a positive relationship with the community is essential to service delivery. With the high-profile use of force by an officer in the department that has caused a negative reaction from the public, there is a need for a strategic communication plan to reinstate confidence in the department. A strategic communication plan by the department will remind the residents of Newark of the department’s commitment to service and accountability.

Reviewing the department’s historical records will help understand how it has evolved in addressing related challenges.
Step 2: Goals and Objectives

* The relationship management goal of the plan is to cultivate positive, meaningful, and positive relationships with members of the public for mutual benefits.
