I was in a position to visit two centers which are both located in America. One of the places goes by the name Ellis Island-New York-Europeans and the other one which is Angel Island-San Francisco, CA-Asian. Both of this places acted as primary immigration stations of both Ellis Island and Angle Island. During the visit I was in a position to learn that:
Ellis Island in New York City is located right off the tip of Manhattan Island. The most busy immigration hub between 1892 and 1924 was Ellis Island (Waldinger, From Ellis Island to LAX: Immigration). Ellis Island was the first site they placed in American soil for the immigrants who came here, and it was an island of hope. If allowed on Ellis Island, immigrants in the U.S. would be free to construct their lives. However, some people were disappointed with the immigration station.
