Week 1
My project of the nursing shortage will be very involving, and as a result, I have to do a lot of research in order to come up with supporting evidence to my claims. The project will outline the manner in which there are plenty of medical errors attributed to the shortage of nurses in the hospitals. To solve this problem, I will come up with a plan of freeing time for the nurses through the implementation of the GetWellNetwork and the employment of more nurses in the hospital as compared to the earlier situation. I expect the project to enhance my research skills.
Week 2
Every step of the project will be covered throughout the whole course hence making it easy for me to perfect each of the sections. During this week, I was able to get a guide of what is required in each section hence being able to come up with a commendable project. Hence, in regard to new practice approaches, the role of technology in improving healthcare outcomes, health disparities, and the population health concerns, I have been able to learn new skills and outcomes that can be of great help in my field of practice.
Week 3
The medical field requires an individual to be fully equipped with the necessary knowledge in order to be able to deliver the best healthcare to the patients. During the project, I found out that new practices are available in the field of healthcare and, every student in that line of career should understand all the requirements of the new practices so that they can be able to apply them in the workplace. These requirements will also be good guidance in the class as I learn more about my professional practice.
Week 4
The project has made me realize that the workplace requires a lot of dedication in order to able to attend to many patients as possible. The different hospitals expect a different number of patients and, hence, it is important to be ready for any outcome such as a low or high turnout of patients. This would play a substantial role in helping a medical practitioner to cope up with the changing work environments.
Week 5
As well, among the weaknesses identified is the ability to identify the best resources to use in the research project. However, I was able to check out a few tutorials that made it possible to identify credible sources that I ended up using in the research. My strengths are in the manner in which I was able to analyze the information from the sources in order to come up with reliable information for use in the capstone project.
Week 6
I have also realized that I have good communication skills in terms of writing down the ideas that I have researched on. I plan to transfer this skill to its verbal form because I will be required to communicate effectively with patients.
