According to Donald Williams, for those who have seen the earth from space, and for the hundreds and perhaps thousands more who will, the experience most certainly changes your perspective. The things we share in our world are far more valuable than those that divide us. Many social, economic, and political factors, especially the social ones, are responsible for dividing the human population, causing concepts such as discrimination, hence promoting division. The most typical factors leading to people’s differences include culture, age, religion, ethnicity, gender, race, sexual orientation, color, etc. Despite the distinct characteristics that make us different from others and potentially divide us significantly, we should embrace tolerance, which considerably implies acknowledging diversity as a strength. People are currently residing in societies undergoing global transitions as the same communities become increasingly diverse and intolerant.   
           Since every individual resides in an era experiencing rapid transitions, emergent economic and power aspects evolving, technology connecting individuals increasingly closely, and cross-cultural connections intensifying daily, the human population should also consider change by recognizing and respecting others’ different factors. Specifically, the human beings making up the planet can and should learn tolerance that, in turn, will play a crucial role in integrating, recognizing, and respecting other people’s backgrounds. Most importantly, teaching boys and girls about living together in harmony and how to behave accordingly with others and portraying the global citizen element is undoubtedly essential. We can develop tolerance by ensuring respect and cultural understanding in all settings, including the playgrounds, learning environments, and homesteads. Addressing the rising inequalities and discrimination amongst the individuals involved based on discriminating factors such as sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, and ethnic background is necessary and possible. Tolerance is the basis through which peace and reconciliation are easily obtainable. It is possible to nurture this, especially from the school perspective, where children could be taught the significance of embracing tolerance, recognizing diversity among the individuals involved, and respecting the existing backgrounds of the persons in question.
