Langdon Winner’s article on ‘Do Artifacts Have Politics?' seems correct not because of the evidence he gives but the different artifacts in the world. When looking at these artifacts, one realizes that they carry specific meaning and may also symbolize some aspects of the current world. Different artifacts carry a particular purpose, a clear indication that they are political in one way or another. Even modern artifacts like diesel engines and submarines have some political reasons. If not for these reasons, the artifacts might not have been created, signifying that almost all artifacts carry a political motive. Winner's article may be right because when looking at modern or traditional artifacts, one realizes their significance and role in society, portraying their political affiliation.
