Reaction Paper: Indian Families
To gain experience thinking critically and expressing your ideas about research and clinical issues in culture and psychopathology, you will be required to write a short reaction papers. you will be required to submit a written reaction/discussion/question (up to one double spaced page in length) generated from the readings. You will receive written feedback on the content, grammar, and style of these papers and the thoughtfulness of your questions and comments will be considered when determining the class participation portion of your final grade. Note: Only mention one or two points from the article, and then talk about the personal experience. Especially: I am much more interesting in hearing your reactions to them. Did you resonate with the author’s point of view? What questions do you have? What surprised or upset you about the readings?
Every country has its own culture and set of beliefs and practices. Because of this article, I realized that every person has a different kind of upbringing.The historical experiences of the people transform into a unique heritage wherein they pass the most important rituals and activities to uphold religious belief and way of life. I believe that it is important to be knowledgeable about these, especially when it come to analyzing the life of an individual. In the reading, the uniqueness of belief is featured in the ancient society of India. From the first civilizations rose the systems of society which were usually held together by spiritual concepts. I think that spiritual concepts plays a big role in how a person acts and behaves. India has been known for its richness in culture and diversity which has made very interesting perspectives and theories about human life.
