Situational judgment is closely linked with the context, and inference is helpful in decision-making. Reducing judgment biases requires data and evidence, but people make decisions without being objective and rational (Likierman 9). Even as bias can appear in judgment, more focus should be on facts and objective information to support decision-making in institutions and policies. Search engines are one example of biased information, such as when people encounter misinformation and make judgments based on this. Stereotyping can influence judgment, and it is unlikely that bias can be completely eliminated in decision-making but can be minimized when there is a better understanding of the sources of bias.
