While critiquing may be similar to judging, the video implies that it is more of speaking of the value of a piece of writing. Establishing the value of a piece of writing is not just about pros and cons, but the accuracy and controversies related to the work. Importantly, the response to a piece of writing should not just be based on personal opinion but rather on established facts and logic.
