To say that market manipulation is acceptable or can be justified based on its ethical outcomes is absurd. Salomon Brothers violated laws of the government, exceeded thirty-five percent limit on the portion of a Treasury issue anyone can buy and used the names of its customers without their permission or authorization. The company had no right to commit these mistakes and was supposed to seek permission from its clients as well as the government.
