Success in Online Based Lessons
Online studying has become a popular way to gain further education for many students. With advances in technology and ease of access to the internet, many students opt for internet-based education programs. These programs allow for flexibility for the students. However, the internet-based lessons can be a challenge to students since most of the learning is at the student's discretion. Online studies can be challenging to students, and some end up not being as successful.
To be successful in internet-based learning, students must have a high level of discipline. Unlike physical education, for internet-based studies, the study material is accessed by the students over the internet through videos and online lesson plans, accessed by the students in their own time. Some colleges offer live streaming virtual lessons, and assignments are completed and uploaded through student portals (Darby and Lang 7). Lectures are uploaded online, and after completing a unit, the student can proceed further into the lessons.
A student without discipline and proper time management skills may fall back in their studies. Students should create schedules and ensure that they follow these schedules in line with the course work. The ability to keep to these timelines require discipline from the student, without which, a student may end up lagging behind and not complete assignments on time. To succeed, a student must identify their deadlines, weekly readings and plan for the end of semester exams and prepare for them.
