Vermeer in Bosnia Reading Response
In the reading, Vermeer In Bosnia, the author takes us through the significance of Jan Vermeer’s artwork. In what appears to be a creative narration of beginning the story, the author takes us through the conversation that they had with Antonio Cassese, an Italian Jurist at The Hague courts. Something that appears to be unique is the way in which the author has presented a new perspective of Vermeer paintings. Previously, I had thought that the paintings were all about depicting the war situation that had taken place in Europe at the time. However, as you continue reading the text, you later realize that the artwork by Jan Vermeer was all about the restoration of peace.
