Anglo Centrism means the view of the World in the English point of view. In consideration of Anglo-centrism, things are seen to be happening in the manner that English considers they should be. In the story, The Time Machine by Hg Wells, the theme, Anglo Centrism is used in different context. This essay will analyze the theme Anglo-centrism as brought out in the story The Time Machine.
Hg Wells manages to bring out the Anglo-centric theme in the novel by use of the creatures and the things that the traveler encounters in the journey. The kind of relationship that the creatures and the traveler have, and what transpires between them makes the theme of Anglo-centrism even more evident in the story, The Time Machine. The kind of encounter are the ones that have been considered in the analysis essay so as to shed light on the Anglo-centric view that is being discussed.
Use of Anglocentrism in the novel
Anglocentrism is used in the novel by oppressing everything that is brought forth in the novel. The novel shows that English man will always be correct and the most intelligent creature wherever he goes to.
