Reflection on the vampire interview
The first vampire stories that spread were intended to be amusing. While there were hints of sentiment and desire in numerous reports, vampires were not well-represented; many had claws and were fearful and hateful. Vampires tended to have similar appearances; some were pale, young, and fed solely on young people. On the other hand, their representations were brutal, disgusting, and straightforward.
