Subtle Racism
Critical framework allows for the establishment of the various elements when evaluating concepts and the way they relate to the general principles in consideration. This is connected to the principles of critical thinking, where the ideas on any given topic are evaluated with a subtle approach. Race is one of the dicey subjects that elicits heated debates (Omi, Michael). More importantly, while racism is considered to have been eradicated, there are systemic references where racism is integrated into the very fabric of society. Most importantly, the systemic racial prejudices are not as explicit as most of the people would expect. They are hidden in the everyday interactions, such that they are not as easy to detect or even defend where they arise (Omi, Michael). This is what is referred to as covert or subtle racism which is veiled from the common eye. The minority in America are still subjected to discrimination, which is repressive relative to their abilities and even perceptions. There are intrinsic elements that have been burnt into the social practices and are considered to be normal (Wilber, D.W.).

This is farthest from the truth, as it simply a cover for what is really happening in the society and has been happening for the longest time. While the minority have tried to make changes and grow there are systemic huddles they will not be in a position to jump (Bonilla-Silva, Eduardo).
Ironically, the policies and social precepts that have been set in the American society, are such that the minority are segregated at a much subtle level. While there have been successive policies implemented in the quest to drive equality in the society the minority are stuck at second class citizenship, in a rather veiled manner (Omi, Michael). In the film industry for example, most of the managerial positions are given to the white Americans. This is relative to the fact that, the African Americans and other minority groups are considered not have what it takes to be a manager in the industry. However, this is not an aspect that is blatantly expressed for the people feel that they not considered to have the abilities for the positions, in other words discriminated. While there are great talents in the industry as portrayed by the number of minorities winning awards, there are very few in the realms of directors and talent managers. Ironically, the highes...
