As such, people are likely to be privileged or be excluded from the mainstream society depending on their racial group. One of the ways to tackle racism is for different people to be involved in tackling the problem. Even though, there are incentives not to eradicate racism if it benefits certain people, it is necessary to highlight the problem of racism and the media can highlight the problem. When people are conditioned to believe that attempts to fight racism targets them, they are less likely to support the anti racism measures. Merely removing symbols and statues that represent racism will not eradicate racism if there is no dialogue on the lack moral ideals associated with racist tendencies.   Acknowledging that discrimination and oppression are unjust as groups of people are subjugated is a good step to highlight racism in the public discourse.
