The requirement is that the comparison of the two articles and video comments must be the same as the following requirements. The article must contain the three points of PIE. Compare Morgan (2010) with the video comments. Note the major differences in language features between the two texts. Then select several major language differences to focus on. See hints below for possible language features. You should explain the language variation you see and why the differences exist!
Create a new page at the end of your paper titled "Works Cited"
Make an entry for every article/comment that you reference

When describing language variations, consider the following:

Article Description: Difference between Language Features in the Two Texts
Describing the speech communities requires a good understanding of how people speak, and meaning attached to the speech. Even one word may mean another when spoken by a different person or people, but when appropriate in formal written English there is less confusion. Morgan uses formal language ensuring that there are proper punctuation marks, complete sentences well structured information there is organization of paragraphs and no use of idioms. On the other hand, the commentary section of the video uses more unofficial language there are abbreviations and short sentences, including sentence fragments. While the Boston accent depicted in the video mostly covers the Boston areas of Massachusetts, there are commonalities in New England and the commentators highlighted this.
Morgan’s work is more formal that in every sentence there was proper punctuation including the capitalization at the beginning of the sentences, and the commas are well placed to separate ideas and sections in sentence. For instance, “It is within speech communities that identity, ideology and agency are actualized in society (Morgan 2). There is no proper punctuation in the comment section, and one commentator wrote “he’s still so hot after all these years” in reference to actor Mark Wahlberg. This is not a full sentence he is contracted to he’s. There is also no repetition of unnecessary words or abbreviations in Morgan’s text and the aim is to make it clear to the audience what different authors have written on speech communities. For instance, “ Communities can be defined and identified in terms of space, place, affiliation, practice and any combination of these terms” ( 2). The commentary are just opinions, and some include abbreviations that may not be clear to all like “:Omg when he slips into that accent! Total...
